Able Child Africa has been awarded a DFID GPAF Innovation grant for an inclusive education project in Uganda! I recently received the following message from their programme Officer Katy Bodkin with the news:
I write with some good news, we have been awarded the GPAF Innovation grant for Uganda! We are delighted, as you can imagine, and very grateful for all your support to get us there."
Able Child Africa works with partners in East and Southern Africa with children and young people with disabilities. I supported an application to the GPAF Innovation fund last year and I am thrilled to hear this inspiring project is being funded. It is hoped to start the project in early 2013 and I hope to follow its progress on the Able Child Africa website.
