Both Nadukuppam High School and adjacent Nadukuppam Environmental Education Centre (see Environmental Education) are flourishing, having leveraged further development funds from the local District Education Department and well as from international sources. The campus has been completely 'greened' and an organic kitchen garden has been added to the Environmental Education Centre. There is a further programme which is working extensively with the local community on governance issues. I am unsure whether the various inputs to both school and centre have yet achieved financial sustainability, or will require ongoing finding from external sources for years to come.
Isai Ambalam School - part of an EC-funded Education Project - has been transformed and teachers from all over Tamil Nadu State increasingly come to train in various innovative teaching methods developed by the school. This element of the project could be said to be sustainable.
