Training courses

I provide training, facilitation, coaching, mentoring and distance learning to the international development sector as well as to voluntary organisations and political foundations working in the UK and mainland Europe.  

Training courses, distance learning programmes and learning resources can all be tailored to meet the individual needs of clients and course participants.  I base these on training resources I have developed over a period of time, and/or to clients’ specific requirements, methods or frameworks.   I use case studies as appropriate, either provided by clients or from acknowledged sources.

My aim is to create a non-threatening learning environment, where participants are encouraged to share and learn from each other.  I use a participatory and inclusive approach, with practical, hands-on training methods accompanied by simple, yet comprehensive, training materials appropriate to delegate knowledge and experience.
 
Distance learning programmes use interfaces, such as Skype and e-mail, with occasional face-to-face sessions as logistics permit.
