Act4Africa's project in Kasese, Uganda, was one of only 6 funded in the recent Big Lottery Fund international round! Last September I supported Act4Africa in their bid to the Big Lottery Fund for their project 'Promoting HIV Prevention Education and gender Equality in Uganda'. I was commissioned to facilitate a capacity-building and consultation process in Kasese to develop the project with over 30 stakeholders representing a broad spectrum of local stakeholder groups.
The project is due to begin in May. It's aim is to reduce the spread and effect of HIV/AIDS by engaging with key networks, stakeholders and groups to infomr and influence vulnerable target groups, representing approximately 50% of the population in all 22 sub-counties of Kasese District.
